The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 season is gearing up for its mini-auction, and before the auction, all five teams have released the list of players they have retained and released. The retention window for the Tata Women’s Premier League 2025 season officially closed on Thursday, November 7, 2024. In total, 71 players, including 25 overseas stars, have been retained across the five WPL teams.

WPL 2025 Team Composition Rules

Under WPL 2025 regulations, each team can have a maximum of 18 players, including six overseas players. The auction purse for each team is set at ₹18 crore, allowing teams to make strategic moves in the upcoming player auction scheduled for December. However, the exact date and location for the auction are yet to be announced.

This time, a mini-auction will be held, so all teams have not released their core players. As a result, only 19 players are to be purchased through the auction. Among the teams, Gujarat Giants (GG) have the highest remaining purse value of Rs. 4.4 crore available for bidding in the auction.

  • Gujarat Giants (GG) have 14 players with 4 overseas players in their squad. They've spent Rs. 10.6 crore so far, leaving them with Rs. 4.4 crore to spend and 4 available slots, including 2 overseas slots.

  • Delhi Capitals (DC) have 14 players with 5 overseas players in their squad. They've spent Rs. 12.5 crore, leaving them with Rs. 2.5 crore and 4 available slots, including 1 overseas slot.
